ACADEMIC AWARDS
Since 2002, the Plant High School football team has consistently demonstrated a strong commitment to academic excellence, earning the Hillsborough County Highest Team GPA Award multiple times. The team claimed this honor in the following years:
In addition to county recognition, the 2021–2022 team was also honored with the 2022 Florida High School Athletic Association (FHSAA) 2nd Highest GPA in the State, further underscoring the program’s statewide academic excellence.
In recent years, the team continued its strong academic performance with a 3.228 GPA in 2023, 3.054 GPA in 2024 and 3.225 in 2025. This sustained success highlights Plant Football’s dedication to excellence both on the field and in the classroom.
