Mike Schleelein

Michael Schleelein brings a dynamic blend of playing experience, professional insight, and high-level football knowledge to the Plant Football coaching staff. A Buffalo native, he played at Hamburg High School before competing collegiately at University at Buffalo, and later gained NFL experience working with the San Diego Chargers and Washington Redskins organizations.

As Plant’s Special Teams Coordinator, he emphasizes discipline, preparation, and situational excellence, earning Special Teams Coordinator of the Year honors. Known for his demanding standards and mentorship, Schleelein focuses on developing tough, accountable, and resilient student-athletes both on and off the field.
